The Princeton Review Releases Its First-Ever Ranking of the Nation's Top Graduate Engineering Programs

NEW YORK--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Sept. 25, 2006--The Princeton Review, the premier provider of college and grad school guides and admission test services, has released its first-ever ranking of the nation�s top graduate engineering programs.  The College of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara has been named as the nation�s most outstanding graduate program in engineering.  Duke University�s Pratt /School of Engineering has been ranked second and the University of Virginia�s School of Engineering & Applied Science has been ranked third. In an effort to help inform students about quality graduate engineering programs, The Princeton Review collected and validated institutional and program specific data over the past two academic years.  The engineering educational programs were then ranked using a combination of quantitative criteria, including GRE scores, undergraduate GPA, percentage of applicants accepted and percentage of top undergraduates applying. There is also a profile of each school on this list of distinction, which includes information on student and faculty stats, undergraduate admission requirements, as well as costs and financial aid.
