BrainTrust Visits East Coast Schools to Share Knowledge About New Media and Online Opportunities

Staffing Agency Strengthens Its Position as `Talent Agents for the New Media Economy`

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--October 3, 2000 --BrainTrust, a new breed of staffing agency conceived to match fast-track talent with high-growth new media and Internet technology companies, is deepening its commitment to students and recent graduates with a three-week tour of top East Coast schools. The trip, a first for the agency, will educate students about new media opportunities and promote BrainTrust`s expertise pairing the best and brightest job seekers with companies driving the new media economy.

BrainTrust will focus on introducing seniors to the full depth and variety of positions available within the always-changing online industry, highlighting the growing need for entry-level (and non-technical) contributors. Additionally, BrainTrust will provide an alternative to the larger finance, accounting and consulting firms typically participating in campus recruiting.

BrainTrust`s campus presence will directly benefit the company`s many smaller, below-radar clients, which typically lack the resources and infrastructure to orchestrate their own on-campus outreach. With a pipeline to over 300 online companies and proven tips for job seekers preparing to enter new media, BrainTrust is a go-to resource for can`t-miss opportunities and industry information.

''BrainTrust was founded by recent graduates, and even as we extend our service, still actively caters to first-time job seekers. With this tour, we are building on our roots and better positioning ourselves to capture the mindshare of next-generation new media and Internet technology stars,'' said Jen Posner, BrainTrust`s Outreach Manager.

Posner is representing BrainTrust at campus events, including career fairs, student information sessions and meetings with career center directors. Specifically, Posner will talk about BrainTrust`s strong industry inroads and unique approach to matchmaking, and will offer real-world advice to up-and-comers trying to break into new media.

Posner has already visited Brown, Cornell, UVA and Washington & Lee, and will be at the following universities over the next two weeks:

Johns Hopkins University, Wednesday, October 4th

University of Pennsylvania, Thursday, October 5th

Princeton University, Friday, October 6th

Boston University, Thursday, October 12th

Boston College, Thursday, October 12th
