Comedian Andy Dick, star of the hit TV show ''NewsRadio,'' will host the opening show at the Amherst campus. He will be joined by comedian Ralph Harris, winner of the ''Clean Up Your Mouth'' award presented by Cool Mint Listerine PocketPaks* at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen earlier this year. The ''iCAST College Comedy Bake-Off'' tour will be managed by New York-based events firm US Concepts.
There are two ways for students to participate in the ''Bake-Off.'' They can compete offline in the joke-telling, stand-up, and sketch categories at evening-scheduled, on-campus shows hosted by Ralph Harris; online, students can enter their submissions in the stand-up, sketch, joke-telling, animation, comic strips, and short film categories at

Offline winners will be selected by audience applause, while the national match will be determined by a panel of comedy industry judges in conjunction with votes cast on the iCAST site. The overall student champion will perform at one stop on the ''Janeane Garofalo & Friends'' concert tour scheduled for next spring.

The College Television Network (CTN), which reaches 750 college campuses and 1.2 million students per day, will be promoting the ''iCAST College Comedy Bake-Off.'' There will be further support through marketing efforts in Link Magazine and numerous college newspapers.
