USF Hosts 6th Annual International Business Plan Competition as the U.S. Economy Shows Signs of Improvement
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Mar 2, 2004--The University of San Francisco will host its 6th International Business Plan Competition on April 1-3, 2004. Recognized as the global epicenter of entrepreneurship, the San Francisco Bay Area boasts the largest pool of venture capital firms nationwide. The University of San Francisco`s competition is regarded by industry and academic insiders as the premier event for providing students with unprecedented exposure to venture capital firms and executives.
Dozens of venture capitalists who manage funds, which invest billions of dollars into new ventures each year, will judge competing business plans based on their clarity of vision and market potential. Judges have included partners and executives with Benchmark Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Asset Management, Venture Strategy Partners, Arrowpath Venture Capital, Bay Partners, Crosslink Capital, Globespan Capital Partners, Garage Technology Ventures, CKS Partners, Latterell Venture Partners, Capstone Ventures, SBV Venture Partners, Crescendo Ventures, Impresa Technologies, Deloitte & Touch, Microsoft, and Cisco (partial list).
