HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Oct 2, 2001--Intel Corporation today introduced three PC accessories that bring new consumer experiences to pictures, music and video. The new products are the Intel(R)Pocket Digital PC Camera, the Intel(R) Personal Audio Player 3000 and the Intel(R)Play(TM)Digital Movie Creator.
When combined with the Internet and a powerful home PC, such as those based on the Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 processor, these products give consumers more ways to enjoy images captured at and away from home, to customize the listening experience of music and spoken-word audio, and to communicate online with friends and family. All three PC accessories work with the Windows(1) XP operating system.

The Intel Pocket Digital PC Camera is both a mega-pixel digital-still camera and a PC camera. It captures images and video that can be posted to a personal Web site or sent in e-mail messages. Consumers can also use their home PC`s connection to a color printer to make photos for the family album. The PC camera acts as both a video phone for face-to-face calls and a ``webcam`` that can broadcast live events such as a birthday party or a baby`s first steps.
With the camera`s built-in 16 MB of memory, consumers can capture up to 256 digital photos. The Smart Media(1) expansion slot enables consumers to add memory in order to take additional digital snapshots and video. The camera includes a flash for indoor or nighttime use and an integrated microphone to record audio when filming short video clips.
The camera comes with the comprehensive Intel(R) Create & Share(R) software, which includes Video Phone, Digital Puzzle, Virtual Studio, Movie Builder and Broadcast Live. With these applications, consumers can send video mail messages, play games, make short video clips and broadcast an event live for distant friends and family.
Available nationwide in October, the Intel Pocket Digital PC Camera has a $149.99 manufacturer`s suggested retail price. It comes with the Intel Create & Share software CD, a tilt-swivel camera base, carrying case, wrist strap, batteries and reference manual. Minimum system requirements include a desktop or notebook PC with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) processor with MMX(TM) technology at 266 MHz; a USB connection; Windows(1)98, 98 SE, ME, 2000, or XP; and 32 MB of RAM.

Intel Personal Audio Player 3000
The Intel Personal Audio Player 3000 is a stylish, portable device that comes with a unique clear faceplate so that consumers can personalize the player with inserts. Consumers can choose from pre-made inserts or they can create inserts featuring photos of their favorite rock star, athlete, friend or pet.
The Intel Personal Audio Player 3000 has 64 MB of built-in Intel(R) StrataFlash(R) memory, which provides up to two hours of digital music or more than 10 hours of spoken-word audio. It is also equipped with a MultiMedia Card(1) expansion slot that enables consumers to add memory to store more of their favorite music. Digital audio can be stored in MP3 and Windows(1) Media Audio formats.
The Intel(R) Audio Manager 2.0 software makes it fast and easy to organize and play audio files.
