More Than 50 Percent Increase in the Number of Institutions Using the Campus Pipeline Web Platform Demonstrates Market Momentum

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Jul 10, 2001--Colleges and universities worldwide are dramatically improving the day-to-day experience of students, faculty and staff by creating powerful digital campuses with Web-integration software that unifies college and university services and resources.

Campus Pipeline Inc., the leading provider of Web-integration technology, Tuesday reports a more than 50 percent increase in adoption of its Web platform.

Data from The Campus Computing Project (www.campuscomputing.net), which tracks higher education technology trends, suggests this growth in portal activity among U.S. colleges and universities is not surprising. The 2000 Campus Computing Report reveals that fully one-third (35.7 percent) of U.S. colleges and universities are currently developing a strategic plan for their campus portal services.

Tom Lewis, chief executive officer of Campus Pipeline, attributes the growth in his company`s business to the outstanding outcomes related to the Web platform`s unique ability to provide real-time data integration with other technologies.

The Campus Pipeline Web platform provides not only portal services and other Web applications, such as email, targeted message distribution, calendar and course management, but data integration, and user management services.
