TRANSWORLD LIVE Tours College Campuses Around the U.S. from January through February 2002

BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Jan 17, 2002--For the first time ever, six of the leading independent ski and snowboard filmmakers -- Kingpin, Matchstick Productions, Poor Boyz Productions, Standard Films, Teton Gravity Research and Treetop Films -- have come together to create TRANSWORLD LIVE, a new 60 minute film hitting college campuses from January through February 2002.

TRANSWORLD LIVE, hosted by ESPN`s X Games commentator, Sal Masekela, combines the best footage from this year`s most progressive freeriding films and includes interviews from the filmmakers, who keep pushing the limits of their respective sports. TRANSWORLD LIVE will be shown at 45 college campuses across the nation and admission is free. There will be numerous giveaways from the supporters of the film, such as skis, video games, CD`s and a grand prize spring break trip for 12 to five Colorado resorts.

TRANSWORLD LIVE packs the action of six powerful new films into one. Features include awe-inspiring snowmobile footage, from the first back flip ever performed on a snow machine by Jim Rippey to Dan Gardner`s world record breaking distance jump of 211 feet! Not to be outdone, skier JP Auclair hurls himself upside down through a gravity defying `Snow Loop` -- a 360 degree snow version of a roller coaster loop, but without rails! Snowboarder Scotty Wittlake proves he is up to the challenge as he slides down 42 rickety wood stairs and sticks it in the Kingpin Productions segment! The film`s driving footage is backed by a soundtrack that features: Adema, The Calling, Dope, Greyboy, Lit, Trick Turner and even an original track by the athletes themselves.

TRANSWORLD LIVE is presented by Seagate. Tour sponsors include Freeze magazine, TransWorld SNOWboarding, TransWorld STANCE, BMG Entertainment, Clif Bar, Colorado Ski Country USA, EA Sports, Evolution, Levi`s, Sony DVD, Universal Pictures -- Ultimate Fights and the U.S. Air Force. Edited by Nike commercial director Dennis Flippin, produced by Warren Miller`s Josh Haskins, co-produced by Freeze magazine`s Mike Jaquet and Warren Miller`s David Perry and Rogue Edwards and executive produced by Kurt Miller, Peter Speek and Andy Clurman, TRANSWORLD LIVE brings together the industry`s top production teams and the most exceptional freeriding athletes of the year -- all converging to create one of the most thrilling, fast-paced, films ever.
