New Tour Dates and Bands Added

NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Jun 5, 2002--Ten unsigned bands will get the rare chance this summer to play in front of hundreds of thousands of rabid rock fans on the Locobazooka United We Rock tour. Recently formed 3PM, LLC, a partnership between 3D Entertainment, Pinnacle Entertainment and McGathy Promotions and promoters of the Locobazooka tour, and InsideSessions, a joint venture between Universal Music Group and Penguin Putnam, Inc. that provides educational tools to aspiring musicians and authors, partnered to create this opportunity.

Popular hard rock acts Filter and Sevendust are headlining the tour, which kicks off June 27 in Milwaukee, Wis. and plays select cities throughout the Midwest and along the East Coast. New dates have recently been added in Portland, Maine; Manchester, N.H.; Oswego, N.Y.; and Huntington, W.Va.

A different band selected by InsideSessions will play on the second stage in each of ten cities on the tour. Other buzz-generating bands including Nonpoint, Mushroomhead, Reveille, Earshot, Audiovent, Dragpipe and Mad at Gravity will share the second stage. Southern California punk outfit Dry Cell was also recently added.

''The goal of the Locobazooka tour is to bring established bands that usually only play major markets to smaller cities,'' tour promoter Dan Hartwell of 3PM LLC said. ''We also find this event to be an incredible springboard for up-and-coming bands that want to continue gaining exposure and attracting new fans.''

Musicians who sign up for InsideSessions` MusicSessions or MusicSessions Plus programs at www.insidesessions.com and submit a three-song demo will be considered for a supporting spot on the tour. InsideSessions is also offering up to two free Locobazooka tickets to all musicians who sign up for MusicSessions or MusicSessions Plus.

''We are always looking for new ways to help aspiring musicians learn about the music business, break down industry barriers and grow their fan bases,'' said InsideSessions president Lori Weintraub. ''Our online programs offer useful insights from some of the world`s most successful musicians and top executives. By also offering supporting slots on the Locobazooka tour with Filter and Sevendust, we`re continuing to create new opportunities to help aspiring artists succeed.''

Tickets for Locobazooka cost $20 and are available at Ticketmaster, various local ticket outlets or online at the official Locobazooka website: www.locobazooka.com. Band info and tour schedule updates are also available at the website.

A decade ago, promoter Dan Hartwell of 3D Entertainment created the first Locobazooka music and arts festival in Worcester, Mass. in collaboration with local radio station WAAF-FM. Over the years, the audience has grown from 1,000 people to more than 22,000 people.

Locobazooka has given performers including Godsmack, Limp Bizkit, Staind, System of a Down and Kid Rock the opportunity to perform in front of arena-sized audiences very early in their careers. Godsmack later chose Locobazooka as the site for their first music video for the multi-platinum hit ''Whatever.''

Last year, Locobazooka celebrated its ten-year anniversary by embracing all of its fans as united Americans. Taking place not long after the tragic events of September 11th, 20,000 of America`s youth gathered together adorned in red, white, and blue and waving flags; thus capturing the ''United We Rock'' slogan.

The original flagship Locobazooka festival in Massachusetts will still be held in September this year and is expected to draw between 25,000-30,000 attendees. Bands that are playing that event will be announced at the end of June.
