NEW ORLEANS, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Sep 30, 2002--Gather your friends and prepare for the road trip of a lifetime and a Halloween you`ll never forget.

For years to come, you`ll reminisce about the journey to a city whose history is filled with tales of lost souls, haunted locales, vampires and VOODOO MUSIC(R) EXPERIENCE. Set to cast its spell on New Orleans City Park November 2, VOODOO MUSIC(R) EXPERIENCE has grown from a one-day festival into a week-long musical extravaganza.

Join thousands of other college students, and devoted music lovers, to enjoy more than 20 artists and twelve hours of music on three stages! With performances by No Doubt, The Crystal Method, 311, Sum 41, Garbage, Counting Crows, (hed)pe, Macy Gray, Nappy Roots, The X-ecutioners, Galactic, DJ Z-Trip, J5, Cut Chemist, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Jack Johnson, Bouva, North Mississippi Allstars, and Blind Boys of Alabama, it`s no wonder this day-long event has become an internationally renowned music experience!

A new element for Voodoo worshippers is the Road to Voodoo, a coast to coast three-band tour culminating with a final bash in New Orleans. With 21 tour dates from the West Coast to the East Coast, Road to Voodoo is sure to be in a town near you! Information regarding the Road to Voodoo headliners, locations, sponsors and more will be announced shortly. Truly making the event a complete experience is Voodoo After Dark - a series of shows created in conjunction with the House of Blues that features prominent national and local talent performing in notorious venues throughout New Orleans. Voodoo After Dark will cast a weeklong spell on the city of New Orleans.

College students, Radio stations and school newspapers can spread the word about VOODOO MUSIC(R) EXPERIENCE while earning great prizes including free tickets, backstage passes and official VOODOO MUSIC(R) EXPERIENCE merchandise. With students from all over the country spreading the word, the College Representative program has helped turn Voodoo into an 80,000 person event. Students interested in becoming a college rep should email or fax their name, college or university, address, phone number and email address to [email protected] or 212-379-3191. Each rep will receive a code number to send to friends and family. Each person who uses the code while ordering tickets through Ticketmaster will increase your total. The more tickets you sell, the more free stuff you earn!

Visit the official VOODOO MUSIC(R) EXPERIENCE website at www.voodoomusicfest.com for ticket information, talent line-up, scheduling, merchandise and more! Be sure to check out the exciting new component, the Voodoo pass, which enables visitors to the site to access bios and pictures of past Voodoo artists, as well as a video clip of the artist performing a song at Voodoo. Also, don`t miss the ''mojo wire'' section, which features past press coverage, contests, promotions and a Voodoo newsletter containing important updates for VOODOO MUSIC(R) EXPERIENCE, Road to Voodoo and Voodoo After Dark.

The Wyndham New Orleans, the official hotel partner of the VOODOO MUSIC(R) EXPERIENCE, is offering a special rate to those attending this year`s event. To make reservations, call The Wyndham New Orleans Reservations at 1-800-WYNDHAM and request the ''Voodoo Music Experience'' rate.
