SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Apr 21, 2003--San Francisco-based modern rock band SLIGHT (www.slightmusic.com) announced today that its newest single ''Changing'' has been released nationally to radio stations across the U.S.

''Changing,'' which is the latest single released from the band`s ''A Perfect Life'' album, has received significant airplay and a strong response from modern rock and pop music fans in major markets throughout the country, according to the band`s lead vocalist David Ramos.

''We are awed and very excited about the response ''Changing'' has received from fans in the Bay Area and now new fans across the country,'' Ramos said. ''I wrote this song during a very intense relationship and people seem to be connecting with that. I guess everyone can relate to one or two of those relationships.''

''Changing'' is being promoted nationally by Howard Rosen Promotions who test marketed the single, prior to its national release, with very high results.

Work on SLIGHT`s album ''A Perfect Life'' was completed late last year. The album is not background music, Ramos notes. ''It`s the type of album that takes you somewhere and demands your attention.''

Moody, darker lows are mixed with subtle pop and sincere emotion giving the music a sense of reality. Each song is written in a way that is tangible, yet challenging to the listener. The lyrics provoke self-evaluation and awareness, while conveying positive messages of hope and optimism.

SLIGHT is comprised of four veteran musicians. The group includes: drummer Joel Anderson, formerly of the Oakland, CA-based band ''Tirebelly,'' guitarist Dennis Haneda, a veteran jazz musician, and bassist Bebo Bharwani, formerly of the EMI signed group ''Second Wind'' and writer and producer of ''The Air I Breath''-- on Frail Records.

Lead singer David Ramos is an accomplished musician and vocalist, who has written and recorded more than 100 songs on six separate albums during the past decade. He was formerly with the popular East Coast band ''Blue Skye Mourning'' and has toured extensively throughout the country.

SLIGHT is represented by the Beverly Hills, CA-based entertainment law firm of Schleimer & Freundlich LLP. The firm`s partners have represented clients ranging from The Spin Doctors and Public Enemy to The John Lennon Music Awards and The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.

SLIGHT performs in clubs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and is planning an extensive tour in late 2003. On Thursday, May 15, SLIGHT will perform at an industry showcase at the Voodoo Lounge in San Francisco. SLIGHT`s ''A Perfect Life'' is available at Tower Records stores throughout the Bay Area, Streetlight Records, The Music Company, Castro Valley, CA and The CD Warehouse, Sunnyvale, CA. The album is also available online at www.amazon.com and www.slightmusic.com.
