LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Nov 4, 2002--On Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, 11 seniors from the theater department at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts will stage a production of Vaclav Havel`s ''The Increased Difficulty of Concentration'' at the Coronet Theater. The production marks the culmination of an independent theater project by 11 enterprising seniors at the prestigious arts high school. Concentration is not a problem for these graduating theater students. After four years of rigorous arts study combined with a full academic schedule, this group, who call themselves The Cinderblock Acting Project, has chosen to present its unique interpretation of Vaclav Havel`s 1968 comedy. The ambitious production is staged, acted and directed solely by the students employing such techniques as Suzuki Movement and Comedia Del Arte. The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts is an award-winning public school of choice that combines disciplines in visual arts, theater, music and dance with a college preparatory academic program. Founded in 1985 and operated by the Los Angeles County Office of Education, the school serves 500 students from 52 districts in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties. It is located on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles.
