CD Features New Song ''Immortal'' Which Will Also be Found on `Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance Video Game Due Out Later This Year

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Sep 25, 2002--After a whirlwind summer on Ozzfest and over 300 live shows since the release of their gold-certified self-titled Arista debut album, ADEMA--MARK CHAVEZ (vocals), MIKE RANSOM (guitar), TIM FLUCKEY (guitar), DAVE DeROO (bass) and KRIS KOHLS (drums)--are set to release INSOMNIAC`S DREAM, a special enhanced EP, October 22 announced Antonio ''L.A.'' Reid, President and CEO, Arista Records.

The CD features the new song ''Immortal'' (which the band has been performing live throughout the summer), a live version of ''Do What You Want To Do,'' a previously unreleased track titled ''Shattered,'' a poignant version of Alice In Chains` ''Nutshell,'' as well as remixes of the band`s three radio singles.

In addition, the disc is enhanced with the group`s videos for the Top 15 Modern Rock hit ''The Way You Like It'' and the Top 10 rock track ''Giving In.'' There`s also a brand new video for ''Immortal,'' which features performance clips from the band`s hometown headlining show in Bakersfield, CA on June 15 and footage from the Mortal Kombat(R): Deadly Alliance(TR) video game, due out from Midway this fall. The ''Immortal'' song and video will be featured on the game`s DVD content.

CHAVEZ talked about the creation of ''Immortal'' in an interview with MTV.COM (June 5, 2002): ''The whole song is based around confusion and chaos,'' he explained. ''The chorus hook is `You can`t kill me, I`m immortal.` So when the game developers asked us to contribute a song to the game in which two sorcerers must put aside their differences to overcome the ultimate challenge and gain immortality, the choice was obvious.''

In other ADEMA news, a live version of the band`s single ''Freaking Out'' appears on the newly released Ozzfest 2002 Live (Columbia/Divine Records) CD. The band`s live show was hailed by critics while on tour this summer. In a live review of Ozzfest, Cathy Campagna of Metal Edge (November 2002) noted: ''Thrashing chords laced with techno beats highlighted the malignancy of ADEMA frontman Marky Chavez`s vocals on `Freaking Out`...this is a career band, as their savvy just seems to be on the incline.''
