Album Arrives in Stores December 16th, as AFTERGLOW Continues Chart Reign

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Dec 1, 2003--Even as she basks in the AFTERGLOW of the biggest one-week sales of her career (for her aforementioned 7th album and first studio album in six years), news of Arista recording artist Sarah McLachlan`s next project will heighten interest in one of the most creative voices in music today.

REMIXED, a fascinating collection of remixed versions of nine recordings that originally appeared between 1992 and 1997, will arrive in stores on December 16th, it was announced today by Antonio ''L.A.'' Reid, president and CEO, Arista Records. Featuring the studio machinations of such specialists as William Orbit, BT, Dusted, DJ Tiesto, and others, REMIXED sees Sarah`s music finding comfortable niches in the influential electronica, techno, dance, trance, and chillout underground. Details of the tracks (and the contributors to this project) are as follows:

From Sarah`s 1992 album, Solace, comes the William Orbit Mix of ''Black.''

From Sarah`s first breakthrough album, 1994`s triple-platinum Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, come the following four tracks:

-- Hybrid`s Super Collider Mix of ''Fear'' (remix and additional production by Mike Truman and Lee Mullin for Distinctive Management; recorded and mixed at Electrotek Studios, Swansea);

-- Rabbit In The Moon Mix of ''Possession'' (remix produced and mixed by David Christophere and DJ Monk);

-- BT Mix of ''Hold On,'' remixed by BT (Brian Transeau);

-- Fade Mix of ''Plenty'' (remix and additional production by Neil Colo and Chris Fortier for Fade Records and Nettwerk Management).


From Sarah`s 7-times platinum landmark album, 1997`s Surfacing,
come the following three tracks:

-- DJ Tiesto Mix of ''Sweet Surrender'' (remix and additional production by DJ Tiesto for Nettwerk);

-- Dusted Remix of ''Angel'' (remix and additional production by Dusted, with keyboards by Mark Bates, engineered by Grippa at the ARK Studios);

-- BT Mix of ''Hold On,'' (remix and additional production by BT).


As a bonus, REMIXED includes DJ Tiesto`s In Search Of Sunrise Remix of ''Silence'' from Karma, the 1997 album by the Vancouver-based electronica duo, Delerium. Sarah vocalizes on the track which she co-wrote with the two principal members of Delerium, Rhys Fulber and Bill Leeb. Since its appearance, the track - which hit #6 on the Billboard Dance charts - has been heard on more than 100 dance, trance, chillout, euphoria, techno, house, and club compilations around the world, as well as on Arista`s original motion picture soundtrack album for Bounce (2000).
