PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Jan 24, 2005--The MBA program of Temple University`s Fox School of Business and Management has been ranked No. 1 in the U.S. for ''Value for Money'' by Financial Times in its 2005 rankings released today.
Financial Times also ranked the Fox MBA as one of the top 50 MBA programs in the nation and as one of the top 75 MBA programs in the world.
Fox was the highest-ranked new entrant in this year`s survey, and The Fox School and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania were the only Philadelphia-area, full-time MBA programs ranked among the world`s top 100 business schools.
Financial Times also recognized Fox School graduates among the top 3 in the United States for ''Career Progress'' and ''International Mobility,'' and the Fox MBA was ranked as one of the top 3 programs in the United States for the ''International Exposure'' it provides to students.
''We are pleased that Financial Times has recognized our full-time MBA programs as exceptional programs that prepare graduates for the global economy. Being ranked by this prestigious publication is a testament to the exceptional quality of our students, faculty, staff and alumni and the great value of a Fox MBA,'' said M. Moshe Porat, dean of The Fox School.
Fox also garnered impressive rankings when compared with business schools from around the world. Financial Times ranked Fox School graduates as being among the top 10 for ''Career Progress'' and the top 20 for ''International Mobility,'' and the Fox MBA as one of the top 15 programs for ''International Exposure'' and top 20 for the ''Value for Money.''
''Our MBA students work on real projects, with real companies with teammates from around the globe. This explains why they hit the ground running when they graduate and progress so quickly in their careers,'' said Robert F. Bonner, executive director of The Fox School MBA programs. ''Also, the multi-country sequence of our International MBA Program, where students study and work with companies in the United States, Japan, India, Ireland, Israel, Russia and France, is an important factor in students` international experience and mobility.''
The rankings were determined from a survey filled out by graduates of The Fox School full-time MBA programs--the Fox MBA (a traditional two-year, full-time program) and the Fox International MBA (an accelerated, global, full-time program). The survey also incorporated other data collected from business schools, such as the placement success of graduates, the research quality of faculty, the international diversity of the school and the global experience that the school provides.
In addition, The Fox School has two MBA programs for working professionals: The Fox School Executive MBA (EMBA) and The Fox School Professional MBA (PMBA), which is a part-time program. Recently, the Fox EMBA was ranked by Financial Times as one of the top 20 programs in the nation. This was the fourth consecutive year that Fox`s EMBA was ranked by Financial Times.
The Fox School of Business and Management is the largest, most comprehensive business school in the Greater Philadelphia region and among the largest in the world, with more than 5,500 students, 150 full-time faculty and 45,000 alumni. Accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), The Fox School`s MBA programs are ranked internationally and nationally by leading business publications, including Financial Times, Forbes, U.S. News & World Report and Entrepreneur magazine.
