Cow Palace hosts regional of Allstate tourney February 26; Registration deadline for men and women`s teams is February 22
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Feb 16, 2005--If you and your college buddies still think you`re pretty good on the hardwood, Allstate Insurance Company and former Stanford men`s basketball star Kris Weems want you to put your skills to the test - playing for a chance to win a trip to St. Louis and a $10,000 contribution to your school`s alumni association.
The Allstate Alumni 3 on 3 Classic, San Francisco regional will take place February 26 at the Cow Palace. The winning team will qualify for a trip to St. Louis the weekend of April 1 to face off in the national finals against winners from regional tournaments in New York, Chicago and Charlotte. Allstate will make a $10,000 contribution to the alumni association of the men and women`s team that win the finals.
In addition, participants in the semifinals of the Allstate Alumni 3 on 3 Classic in St. Louis will find themselves on TV when the games are broadcast on College Sports Television (CSTV) Monday, April 4 (9:30 p.m. EDT/6:30 p.m. PDT). The championship game airs Monday, April 11 (9 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. PDT).
To register, players should assemble their teams and log on to www.Allstate3on3.com. The deadline to sign up is February 22.

In need of funding for several of its after school programs, The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, Columbia Park Clubhouse will receive a donation on behalf of Allstate to provide sports equipment, including backboards, uniforms and staffing.

To be eligible for the single-elimination Allstate Alumni 3 on 3 Classic, participants must have a degree from an accredited college or university and meet certain other eligibility requirements. Each region will have one division for men and one division for women.
