Fox Soccer Channel to Televise Both First-Leg Semifinals Live

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Mar 31, 2005--DC United will look to its teenage phenom Freddy Adu and quarterfinals heroes Jamil Walker and Jaime Moreno when it meets Mexico`s UNAM Pumas in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions` Cup semifinal series on Wednesday, April 6. Fox Soccer Channel will have live coverage of the match from RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the second game set for April 13 in Mexico City.

In the other semifinal series, Deportivo Saprissa will open at home against Monterrey of Mexico on Thursday, April 7 from Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in San Jose, Costa Rica. Fox Soccer Channel`s live telecast of the first leg will begin at 10:30 p.m. ET, with the return match scheduled for April 14 in Monterrey. Monterrey dominated its quarterfinal matchup against Municipal of Guatemala, while Deportivo Saprissa came from behind to take the deciding game from the favored Kansas City Wizards, 2-1 in extra time. The Costa Rican side will rely on Gerrold Drummold to lead the charge against the Monterrey defense.

The CONCACAF Champions` Cup is the longest running international club competition in the region and has crowned the champion club of the Confederation since its inception in 1962. Fox Soccer Channel`s exclusive coverage of the 2005 Champions` Cup will culminate in the two-legged championship final on May 4 and 11.
