SAN FRANCISCO--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--May 3, 2005--Learning Technology Partners (LTP), a San Francisco-based eLearning integration and outsourcing company, announced today that the University of the Incarnate Word has migrated its online programs to LTP`s integrated solution to enhance its graduate and undergraduate online offerings, including course delivery, administration management, and online community support.

Cyndi Wilson Porter, Dean of the Virtual University at UIW, was extremely pleased with the transition to LTP. ''LTP`s years of outsourcing experience was evident. The transition for students and staff was completely seamless, and the best I have seen in all my years of managing online programs and switching platforms. Being able to move a program of our size could have been a major undertaking. LTP made it quite painless, accomplishing the entire thing in the week between our two terms.

''The Virtual University at UIW has been in existence since 2000. We have an incredibly diverse group of faculty with worldwide experience in the delivery of online programs. We really know what we want and what we need to be successful. LTP`s solution takes care of the delivery of our classes, the administration behind the scenes and our portal needsand everything is integrated and accessible through an individualized homepage. With LTP you get all the bells and whistles of a CMS plus much much more,'' said Dr. Porter.

Since the inception of the program at UIW, astonishing growth has been the earmark of the Virtual University. Starting with eight courses and 21 enrollments in August of 2000, the program now encompasses approximately 65 courses each of the five eight-week long terms a year. The enrollments currently reach 900+ in a given term, with the expectation that we will reach the 5000 enrollment yearly in the upcoming fiscal year. ''LTP`s scalability to grow as we grow was crucial to our decision to move to their platform,'' said Dr. Porter

UIW is also part of the US Army`s innovative eArmyU program. Since the beginning of that program, UIW has been proud to be a source of educational opportunity for the soldier-students that have elected UIW as their host institution. LTP`s stable platform currently sees students from all parts of the world as they work on their coursework and serve in the US Army from all theatres of current operation, including Iraq, Korea and Afghanistan to name a few.

UIW currently offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in the online program, all of which are delivered totally online. Students can pursue an associate degree in four areas, a BBA in five concentration areas, as well as a newly developed BA in Human Resources. The graduate offerings are just as diverse, with an MBA and an MBA International option. The Master of Arts in Administration is an innovative degree with concentrations in Communication Arts, Organizational Development and Applied Administration.

''We are delighted to offer the students and staff at UIW the many benefits of an integrated solution,'' said Reda Athanasios, President of Learning Technology Partners. ''We are very pleased that Dean Porter entrusted us with the migration of such a sophisticated large program. To do it without any interruption to teachers and students is our trademark, and we stand by it. With the operational efficiencies achieved through LTP`s added integration, UIW is poised to make a strong program stronger and increase its growth rate,'' he added.
