LOS ANGELES--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Nov. 18, 2005--THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION (TLF) is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2006/2007 academic year for minority students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in advertising, marketing or public relations.

Applications may be obtained through THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION`s website, www.lagrantfoundation.org, or by calling 323.469.8680. Applications must be submitted to THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION by Tuesday, February 28, 2006 for consideration.

''Since its inception in 1998, THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION has awarded $320,000 to 70 exceptional minority college students,'' said Mr. Kim L. Hunter, founder/president of THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION. ''This year, we want to continue building on the tradition of providing support to students striving for academic excellence in the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations.''

THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION scholarship requirements are as follows: student must be of African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino or Native American descent; must be seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university; must be enrolled in one of the three programs mentioned above; and must make a commitment to maintain contact with THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION for assistance with professional development.

THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations by providing scholarships, career development workshops, professional development, mentors and internships to African Americans, American Indians/Native Americans, Asian/Pacific Island Americans and Hispanics/Latinos.
