DLP seeks campus leaders for 8 summer conferences; Apply online before May 25th for a chance to attend in 2007.
CINCINNATI, Ohio--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--April 24, 2007--The application deadline for Monster.com�s summer leadership series, the Diversity Leadership Programs (DLP), is quickly approaching. Any student who is interested in attending one of these selective summer conferences must apply before May 25th.
Program Overview
DLP is orchestrated by Monster.com and sponsored by Fortune 500 companies who are eager to meet top undergraduates of diverse background. At each event, students participate in customized career and success building workshops. Workshop topics include leadership, networking, resume-construction, interview techniques and workplace diversity. Among the benefits of participation is the chance to win a scholarship. Rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors and seniors who are accepted to DLP spend one summer weekend interacting with individuals from industry-leading companies like Lockheed Martin, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Target, Accenture, Fidelity Investments, Hewlett Packard and the US Navy in a dynamic learning environment. Last summer, 1 out of 16 participants earned a scholarship at Monster DLP. This summer, $68,500 is available for attendees, a number that will continue to rise for the next two months.
Application Process
Students apply online at www.MonsterDLP.com. The application takes less than 10 minutes to complete and asks students to submit a resume. In the online application, all students have the opportunity to pick a 1st and 2nd choice event location from the 10 programs offered. Each program features the same curriculum. College students of all backgrounds and majors are encouraged to apply. The admissions committee looks for students with demonstrated leadership ability and extracurricular involvement. Admissions are conducted on a rolling basis.
Logistics
Food and housing costs for the weekend are provided compliments of Monster DLP. Students are responsible only for the cost of transportation to and from their chosen event. 300 student-leaders participate in each event.
