Guster To Headline the Crocs Next Step Campus Tour

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--June 1, 2007--Crocs, Inc., pioneer of a new breed of comfort footwear, is giving students something to look forward to this Fall as they announce the launch of the Next Step Campus Tour featuring rock favorite Guster! Rocking campuses across the country throughout September and October, Crocs is teaming up with St. Louis-based 360 Productions to provide a fun, interactive campus music experience.

"We are incredibly excited to work with Crocs on the Next Step Campus Tour," said Mike Kociela of 360 Productions. "It seemed like our objectives fell in line perfectly, and from the moment we discussed the concept, the project started to gain huge momentum."

Since their humble beginnings at Tufts University, Guster has gone on to sell out New York's fabled Radio City Music Hall and perform with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall. The Boston-bred band's fifth studio release, Ganging Up on the Sun, is a melody-minded, breezy, free-spirited, literate pop record like its predecessors--2003's Keep it Together, 1999's Lost and Gone Forever, 1996's Goldfly, and 1994's Parachute.

With the involvement of Guster, 360 Productions will team with the non-profit Reverb to provide unique greening initiatives throughout the tour. Founded in 2004 by Lauren Sullivan and her husband, Guster guitarist/vocalist Adam Gardner, Reverb's mission is educating, inspiring and activating music fans while "greening" artists' tours and the music industry at large.

"There will be a number of elements to this tour that we will be announcing over the coming months," explains Kociela. "As we secure other sponsors and finalize dates, we will be creating and adding more unique tour opportunities."

Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is booking the talent for the tour, and two opening acts will be announced soon. More information about the Crocs Next Step Campus Tour, including a full line-up with cities and dates, will be released early this summer.

The Crocs Next Step Campus Tour is proud to announce Spin Magazine as a participating media sponsor and to invite any other companies interested in sponsorship opportunities to contact CAA's Marcie Cardwell at 615-383-8787 or [email protected].
