Exclusive Barclays Premier League Coverage Kicks off on Fox Soccer Channel This Week

Start of English Season Coincides with Launch of Two New Original Programs: "Fox Soccer Match Day" This Saturday at 9:30 A.M. ET and "Super Sunday +" on August 12 at 1 P.M. ET

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Aug. 9, 2007--Setting the stage for the network's most comprehensive coverage of England's Barclays Premier League ever, Fox Soccer Channel today announced it will debut two new original programs this weekend dedicated to the world's most prestigious soccer league.

"Fox Soccer Match Day" is a new half-hour live show at 9:30 a.m. ET each Saturday that will preview the weekend's soccer action and feature in-depth analysis and predictions. Then, on Sundays at 1:00 p.m. ET, "Super Sunday +" will provide viewers with a fast-paced recap of the weekend's top soccer matches from England, the U.S. and around the world.

The 2007/08 Barclays Premier League season will commence on Fox Soccer Channel this Saturday, August 11, with the premiere of "Fox Soccer Match Day," at 9:30 a.m. followed by three exciting opening-day matches: West Ham United vs. Manchester City at 10 a.m. ET, Aston Villa vs. Liverpool at 12 p.m. and Derby vs. Portsmouth at 2:30 p.m. On Sunday, Arsenal takes center stage when it hosts Fulham at 7 a.m. ET, while defending Premier League champion Manchester United faces Reading at 11 a.m.

"Fox Soccer Match Day" and "Super Sunday +" will be hosted by Fox Soccer Channel commentators Christian Miles and Andy Houlihan. Former Queens Park Rangers standout Gary Richards will join the aforementioned duo to provide expert analysis during "Super Sunday +" which will feature highlights, interviews, tactical breakdowns and commentary about the weekend's world soccer action, with a particular emphasis on the Premier League, Italy's Serie A and America's own Major League Soccer and United Soccer Leagues.
 
Fox Soccer Channel's on-air coverage of the Barclays Premier League will be complemented by two new on-line offerings. Free highlights of all Premier League matches and a selection of full-length contests will be offered on a delayed basis at Fox Soccer Channel's Web site, www.foxsoccer.com, beginning this weekend. Full-match coverage will be available as pay-per-view and subscription services.
