NEW YORK--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Oct 9, 2001--MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (MLBAM), the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, today announced the launch of “Baseball’s Best,” the ultimate video library of Baseball’s most exciting post-season games ever, broadband and on-demand.
The new “Baseball’s Best” online library is available at www.MLB.com/baseballsbest and www.worldseries.com, and offers members exclusive access to the original broadcasts of 28 classic games in high-resolution streaming video, most never before available in their entirety. Many of the games also include the original pre- and post-game show -- great vintage pieces with hosts like Mickey Mantle and Sandy Koufax. Starting in November, a new classic game will be added each Wednesday through March of 2002.
Fans can access this one-of-a-kind library to watch Tommie Agee`s spectacular performance behind Gary Gentry and Nolan Ryan in the 1969 World Series, or the Boston Red Sox’s Carlton Fisk smack his dramatic 12th inning homer to keep Boston’s World Series dream alive against Cincinnati in 1975, among other great match-ups from the `60s through the `90s. The games can be watched in their entirety, or by specific half-inning. Fans can also access specific pitches, hits or plays by using the slide control on the video player. Game recaps, photos and full boxscores complete the experience.
There are two ways to watch Baseball`s Best: A single-game 48-hour Video Rental for $2.95, or an Unlimited Pass membership for $14.95, for complete, unlimited access to all of the games in the library through March 1, 2002.
