AVON, Conn.--(COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Sep 10, 2001--Using MDhub.com you can now send Internet messages directly to your doctor’s office from anywhere you have Internet access: from the computer lab, the library, or in the middle of the night from your dorm room. Before making another long distance call, use www.MDhub.com to contact your doctor. It’s easy to use, free and there is no registration required.

If your doctor is not yet wired to the Internet your MDhub message will be sent directly to your doctor’s fax machine. Medical practices with Internet access can respond to their patients` messages via email.

MDhub MessageCenters are up and running for virtually every practicing physician in the US, so students, faculty, and staff can now send non-urgent on-line messages to their doctor’s office to request/cancel an appointment, request a referral, renew a prescription, or to ask a quick question.

MDhub is more convenient than trying to call during office hours, cheaper than a long distance call, and you never have to be put on hold, get a busy signal or listen to a machine tell you what button to push again.

Lauren Engel MDhub’s President and the parent of two daughters in college relates, “Instead of having to call back and forth between the doctor and my daughters trying to schedule appointments for them, and inevitably getting their schedules wrong. They love being able to use MDhub to take care of it themselves…and I love not being stuck in the middle, not to mention the savings on my long distance bill!”

Students can also request a referral or very simply request a prescription renewal at a pharmacy close to their dorm. MDhub is easy for college students to use and even easier for the doctors. “But best of all, students can do all of this in the middle of the night, when they seem to do all of their work. MDhub is made for them,” says Engel.

MDhub, a FREE service of THE LITTLE BLUE BOOK, is a simple and convenient alternative to using the phone when communicating non-urgent matters to your doctor.

Access your doctor’s on-line MessageCenter at www.MDhub.com, or directly at www.MDhub.com/[your doctor’s 10-digit telephone number].
