LOS ANGELES--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Sep 4, 2001--Dave Navarro is heading out on tour commencing Aug. 30, in Boston, Mass.
Navarro will play dates in support of his explosive debut solo album, ''Trust No One,'' released June 19, 2001, on Capitol Records.
''Trust No One'' is a deeply personal reflection on love and loss that features Navarro on vocals, bass, guitar and piano. Joining Navarro on the recording are Jon Brion and Matt Chamberlin (Fiona Apple) and, on his cover of the Velvet Underground`s ''Venus In Furs,'' Chili Peppers` drummer Chad Smith and Roy Mayorga.
''This authoritative debut from the former Jane`s Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist is not the kind of album where a tuneless guitar technician runs wild with the soloing. Instead, Navarro unveils a passionately consistent sense of how to fashion rage rock that`s not for children.'' 3 stars. Rolling Stone -- July 5, 2001
The album`s second single, ''Hungry,'' will be released to radio on Sept. 3; ''Rexall,'' the album`s first single, has garnered airplay across the country going top 10 at rock.
