``SnoCore Rock`` and ``SnoCore Icicle Ball`` Tours to Kick Off in February

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Jan 14, 2002--ARTISTdirect`s (Nasdaq:ARTD) SnoCore, the winter/sport/lifestyle touring event, will kick off its seventh year with two touring units on the road simultaneously -- the ``SnoCore Rock`` tour and the ``SnoCore Icicle Ball.``

The ``SnoCore Rock`` line-up will headline the Grammy-nominated Alien Ant Farm, who will be joined by the punk-rock band Fenix TX and progressive hardcore GlassJaw, with an opening act to be announced. The ``SnoCore Rock`` tour kicks off on February 15 in Providence, Rhode Island, and will play more than thirty-five shows in major cities throughout the U.S.

The talent line-up for ``SnoCore Icicle Ball`` will headline Karl Denson`s Tiny Universe on most dates, and the rest of the bill will vary from city to city (see below for specifics). In addition to Denson, artists who will be on a selection of dates include Spearhead, Nikka Costa, Blackalicious, the influential political poet Saul Williams, Ozomatli, and Sector 9. The ``Icicle Ball`` unit will play some forty dates between its February 1 kick-off in San Diego and its April 1 close in Toronto, and will include stops at snow resorts such as Park City, Vail, and Whistler.

``I am so proud to be able to offer fans an eclectic mix of artists as we`re doing with this year`s two SnoCore tours,`` commented Marc Geiger, Vice Chairman, ARTISTdirect. ``As happened with Lollapalooza a decade ago, a number of bands have been broken on SnoCore, and we hope to do it again this year. This is a great time of year to put a tour out, especially in places that don`t usually get regular concerts such as Lake Tahoe, Park City, and Vail.``

The ARTISTdirect SnoCore festival is the original winter lifestyle tour that features live music concert performances from some of the most credible artists today. Past SnoCore lineups have included Gold and Platinum artists such as Sublime, Primus, Blink-182, Fear Factory, The Pharcyde, Everclear, System of a Down, Kittie, and Powerman 5000.
