AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Feb 12, 2002--Thomas Siebel, chairman and CEO of Siebel Systems is scheduled to keynote the Government Technology Conference (GTC), February 13 at 8:30 am at the Austin Convention Center, Ballroom A. His keynote is open to the public and free of charge.

IndustryWeek named Siebel ''CEO of the Year'' for 2001. According to IndustryWeek, many CEOs have founded a company and authored a book or two, but Siebel has successfully created an entire industry: Customer Relationship Management or CRM. CRM is data and information sharing across an enterprise and provides government-to-government, government-to-business, business-to-business and government-to-citizen communication.

The expert in CRM, Siebel just returned from a meeting with Gov. Tom Ridge`s Office of Homeland Security and will share those discussions with the GTC audience. Recognized in 2001 by BusinessWeek as one of the top 25 managers in the world, Siebel has guided his company to a 29% increase in revenue and a 33% increase in profits in 3rd quarter 2001. The author of three books, Taking Care of eBusiness, Virtual Selling and Cyber Rules, Siebel sits on the Boards of Advisors for Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Stanford University Law School and University of Illinois College of Engineering. GTC, the largest technology exposition and conference in Central Texas, will be held February 13 - 15 at the Austin Convention Center and features over 250 leading technology related companies on its exhibit floor.

For information contact Tamara Wilson at 512/404-4600 or 916/548-4675. For complete conference information, visit www.govtech.net and click on GTC Southwest 2002.
