More Than 10,000 Students Gain Experience With PeopleSoft`s Pure Internet Solutions

PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Feb 19, 2002--PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq:PSFT) today announced that its industry leading On Campus program has surpassed $25 million in software grants to colleges and universities.

Since its inception in 1999, the PeopleSoft On Campus Program has enriched business and information technology (IT) education by integrating PeopleSoft`s industry leading applications into the curriculum of institutions worldwide.

''Our customers and industry partners are looking for graduates with PeopleSoft experience,'' said Kevin Horigan, general manager of Education and Government for PeopleSoft. ''By participating in the On Campus program and integrating PeopleSoft applications into their curriculum, our academic partners are providing their students with valuable experience and highly marketable skills.''

PeopleSoft On Campus is an industry academic partnership program that provides PeopleSoft`s pure internet applications, end user training software, and comprehensive faculty training at PeopleSoft University.

On Campus participants also receive access to critical resources that enable them to update and enrich their curriculum with the latest industry information. These resources include white papers, case studies, cyber-seminars and access to PeopleSoft`s Customer Connection extranet.

Through the program, more than 10,000 students will gain hands-on experience with PeopleSoft applications in the 2002 academic year.

Business students demand to be kept abreast of the latest technologies available in the business world. IT curricula must stay current to remain competitive in today`s changing environment. The PeopleSoft On Campus Program enables access to these technologies and allows colleges and universities to compete for a limited pool of students.

Products currently in use by participating institutions include Human Resources, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Financial Management.

''Student and faculty response to our offering PeopleSoft applications has been overwhelming,'' said Kenton B. Walker, director of the University of Wyoming`s e.Business Program. ''Using PeopleSoft software in the College`s new e.Business program provides graduates with a competitive advantage that can further their success in the business world.''

Current participating colleges and universities in the On Campus Program include institutions such as: the State University of New York at Albany, Ohio State University, Cal Poly/San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly/Ponoma, Sheridan College, Duquesne University, the Houston Community College System, the University of Western Ontario, Dakota State University, the University of New Orleans, University of Quebec, Montreal, California State University at Bakersfield, the University of Wyoming and Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
