PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Sept. 21, 2006--Representatives from more than 100 law schools nationwide will offer prospective students information about their programs and admission requirements on Oct. 23 at the Philadelphia Law School Fair, sponsored by Drexel University's Steinbright Career Development Center.

The fair is one of eight that will be held in the United States this year in coordination with the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC). It is the first of its kind to be held by a Greater Philadelphia university. The LSAC represents more than 200 law schools in the United States and Canada and every law school approved by the American Bar Association.

The fair will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in the North Waiting Room of Amtrak's 30th Street Station.

"Prospective law students who attend the Philadelphia Law School Fair will benefit from firsthand information that will help them identify the schools at which they will reach their fullest potential as students and attorneys," said Peter Franks, executive director and
associate vice provost of the Steinbright Center.

Prospective students will be able to talk to admission deans, faculty members, students or recent graduates of each school about their school's programs, facilities and other topics. The law schools planning to attend come from a variety of public and private universities. The law schools of Drexel, Temple, Villanova, Penn, Yale and Duke are among those that will attend. The list of participating schools and links to their Web sites may be viewed at www.drexel.edu.

Participants may attend workshops on admissions and financial aid, some of which focus specifically on issues relevant to minority candidates. Students may also visit www.drexel.edu to register for the fair and find more information about it.
