CARROLLTON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--May 24, 2007--GVI Security Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB: GVSS), a leading provider of video security surveillance solutions featuring the complete Samsung Electronics line of products, announced the receipt of an award for the first phase of a new school video security project from the Chesterfield County Public School District.

"This award is for the first phase of a multi-phase project to provide a video surveillance solution to protect the students, faculty, staff and visitors at the 59 school Chesterfield County Public School District," said Michael D. Capulli, GVI Security Solutions Sr. VP of Sales, North America. "With over 58,000 students across 36 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, 10 high schools, a charter school and a technical center, Chesterfield County is a progressive district serving a wide range of Virginia's students across a large facility base."

"Video security in educational facilities is evolving into a needs driven market rather than an event driven one as school administrators become much more aggressive at putting video security solutions in place before problems occur," stated GVI CEO Steven Walin. "From our perspective as a pure play video security solutions provider, school security is clearly developing into a strong vertical market for GVI with growth rates that exceed not only the security market as a whole, but also exceed the overall CCTV video surveillance market which is growing faster than the overall security market."

Mr. Walin will be discussing this latest contract win during his presentation today at the Wall Street Analyst Forum Conference at The Princeton Club, 15 West 43rd Street, New York, NY at 9:50 AM EDT. Investors wishing to attend can register at the site.

The presentation will also be available by webcast at: https://www.wsw.com/webcast/wsaf2/gvss.ob/

The Wall Street Analyst Forum conference May 22nd - May 24th at the Princeton Club in New York City on West 43rd St. features presentations from companies in the Technology, BioTech, Security and Financial Services industries. (See list below of Scheduled Presenting companies). The forum also features chief investment strategist presentations by Sam Stovall of Standard & Poor's and Michael Metz of Oppenheimer & Co.
