$100 Million in State-of-Ohio Low-Cost Funds Are Available Now!
COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--June 4, 2007--Student Lending Works (www.StudentLendingWorks.org), the designated nonprofit provider of student loan products for the State of Ohio, is making available $100 million in low-cost education funding on a first-come, first-served basis. The Student Loan Countdown campaign launches today. Visit www.StudentLoanCountdown.com to learn how the Countdown works.
The State of Ohio, through Student Lending Works only, has made available a limited amount of special low-cost funds that provide the best rates and discounts in Ohio for student loans. The Countdown is designed to help students, parents of students, and graduates in Ohio understand that they don't have to go through the financial aid office of the college they attend. Additionally, the Countdown Web site will be updated continually with the amount of the $100 million that is still available. Throughout the campaign, ads will appear in newspapers and on television and radio across Ohio. The Countdown continues through September 15, 2007, or until the allocated funds run out.
Student Lending Works is able to make lower-cost student loans because its products use tax-exempt funds made available from the State of Ohio. No other lender has access to these tax-exempt funds. To date, the State of Ohio has authorized $440 million for the creation of low-cost loans for students and parents across Ohio. For more information about the Student Loan Countdown, call
