SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--July 26, 2007--Jobster, Inc. and more than 230 partner employers today announced a new career networking and job search application built on Facebook Platform. Jobster's newest Facebook application - featuring Employer Talent Networks - connects Facebook users directly with the hiring teams at the companies where they most want to work.
"Jobster is all about connecting employers with valuable audiences," said Jobster CEO Jason Goldberg. "This application was created with user feedback at its core. We spent the last six months learning from Facebook users about how we can best help them further their careers and have now coupled that understanding with our Talent Network capabilities for employers." Jobster now helps Facebook users join the Talent Networks of their favorite employers.
As part of the Jobster application setup process, Facebook users sign up for employer Talent Networks. In doing so, Facebook users' information and career interests are passed along to the hiring teams utilizing Jobster's Employer Sourcing Tools. Jobster then facilitates direct communication between employers and the Facebook users in their Talent Network about job openings, company recruiting events and other opportunities.
The new Jobster application also enables Facebook users to discover which of their Facebook friends work at specific companies and then ask them for career advice. Finally, the Jobster application also enables Facebook users to search from more than 2 million jobs indexed by Jobster on an ongoing basis, and to easily convert their Facebook profile into a digital resume on Jobster. Access the application at https://apps.facebook.com/jobster.
Facebook is a social utility that offers an efficient way for people to stay connected with their friends and the people around them. Facebook users communicate and share information through the social graph, the network of connections and relationships between people. With more than 31 million active users, Facebook is the sixth-most trafficked website in the United States.
In May 2007, Facebook launched Facebook Platform, a development platform that enables companies and engineers to integrate with Facebook and gain access to millions of users. More than 50 percent of Facebook users return to the site each day, providing unparalleled distribution potential for applications and the opportunity to build a business that is highly relevant to people's lives.
