NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Aug. 28, 2007--Houlihan Lokey, an international investment bank, announced today that it has been ranked as the No. 1 Best Investment Banking Employer to Work For by Vault, a prestigious employment information web site. In addition to this award, Houlihan Lokey received a number of other accolades in Vault's annual ranking of top investment banking employers, some of which include being ranked No. 1 for Overall Satisfaction, for the second consecutive year, and No. 1 for Treatment by Managers. Jeff Werbalowsky, Co-CEO of Houlihan Lokey, said, "It is great to see that we are having some success in our goal of creating and maintaining the best environment in the world for our junior financial professionals. We need to continue to make sure that doors are kept literally and figuratively open, that everyone has access to senior staff and management, and all of us at the firm treat each other with respect. At Houlihan Lokey, we need to make sure that even as we grow larger merit continues to trump hierarchy. We believe this environment self-selects professionals who want a long-term home for their careers and to be successful on both personal and professional levels."

"As Vault's survey shows, we care a great deal about our junior professionals," added Cynthia Bush, Global Head of Recruiting for Houlihan Lokey. "In our recruiting effort, we really try to ensure that our people are on the right career path. We expect our junior professionals to take their responsibilities to the firm and our clients very seriously, and we take our responsibilities to them equally as seriously. We believe our unique approach to career development offers us an advantage in creating one of the best working environments to recruit and retain top talent."

Over the past year, the statistics have underscored Houlihan Lokey's proven success. In 2006, Thomson Financial ranked Houlihan Lokey as the No. 1 M&A advisor for U.S. transactions under $1 billion.
