Industry Leaders Form Unparalleled Access to Free and For-Pay `Big Four` Fantasy Games and Analysis

SUNNYVALE, Calif. and ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Jan 30, 2002--Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO), a leading global Internet communications, commerce and media company, and SportingNews.com (TSN), a leading provider of online sports coverage, today announced an agreement to distribute TSN content and extensively co-promote fantasy games covering the ''Big Four'' sports -professional football, basketball, baseball and hockey. The new relationship combines the strengths of each organization, while enabling both Yahoo!(R) Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com) and SportingNews.com to jointly market a variety of free and for-pay fantasy games to each other`s fast-growing fantasy sports audience. Fans will be able to see immediate results of the agreement with the launch of fantasy baseball in mid-February at http://fantasysports.yahoo.com or SportingNews.com.

Yahoo! Sports will continue delivering its industry-leading fantasy games and tools, while TSN brings its core strength of salary-cap style games and in-depth fantasy analysis from its staff of dedicated writers. Within both parties` for-pay fantasy games, players can access a number of tools and services that provide a competitive advantage, including TSN Draft Kits which include extensive notes and nuggets, player rankings, scouting and reports, expert columns and weekly lineups. In addition, players of the Yahoo! Sports fantasy games can incorporate the real-time ''StatTracker'' application that shows current stats standings and game scores.

''This agreement with The Sporting News underscores Yahoo! Sports` commitment to bringing the best of branded, trusted news sources to its millions of consumers,'' said Brian Grey, director of business development, Yahoo! Sports. ''Fantasy sports have moved online at a phenomenal rate, illustrating how perfect the Internet is for this skyrocketing business. We feel this relationship with The Sporting News arms fantasy sports players with one of the most competitive sets of games, tools and analysis available anywhere.''

''Our relationship with Yahoo! Sports brings the best-of-breed content of SportingNews.com, Sporting News Radio, and the newly-redesigned Sporting News magazine to the millions of sports fans that frequent Yahoo!,'' said Jason Kint, VP and general manager online, SportingNews.com. ''Yahoo! Sports continues to be an incredible platform for TSN and will round-out our complete suite of fantasy sports products.''

Yahoo! and SportingNews.com have an existing relationship whereby TSN provides extensive editorial coverage through daily ''Expert Columns'' on Yahoo! Sports` front page, as well as notes, analysis and coverage that appear on league, team, player and event-specific pages.
