Host of MTV`s TRL and NBC`s Last Call With Carson Daly Launches Label To Develop Promising Talent From Across The Country
NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE via COLLEGIATE PRESSWIRE)--Jan 31, 2002--Carson Daly and Loud Records CEO Steve Rifkind recently sealed a deal to form a new label that will be distributed and marketed by Loud, whose roster includes the Wu-tang Clan, Xzibit, Three 6 Mafia, and Funkmaster Flex.
Daly`s label, still unnamed, will develop promising talent from across the world focusing on every genre of music. ''I`m thrilled to have the opportunity to run my own label,'' Daly said. Loud Records CEO Steve Rifkind and Loud Executive VP Jonathan Rifkind knew Daly years before he became one of America`s most important pop culture tastemakers. The Rifkinds recognized Daly`s ear for talent while he was DJing in California and have been impressed with his drive to deliver the best music to America on his highly rated MTV and NBC, and syndicated radio programs.
